InfoSelect
The most important program I have, except maybe email, is my Personal Information Manager: InfoSelect. All my notes, to do lists, reminders, contact lists, coupon codes—anything that would normally go on a scrap of paper—are in InfoSelect, and everything I have to keep track of is instantly (literally—it is incredibly fast) accessible. And the user interface is so simple that, after a short time, it is easier to enter something in InfoSelect than to scribble it on a piece of paper.
It is a wonderful program, and I would insist that every one of my clients get it, if only it were a reasonable price. Unfortunately, they continue to price it at $159, and I can't get most people to put out that much money for a program that they don't quite understand what it does.

A word about passwords: lots of people tell you to create screwy-looking passwords with uPPer and LowER case and all kinds of strange symbols in them. It turns out that this is bad advice...
